Formal Hair-Up Preparation

Preparation is key to having your hair looking perfect for your formal events, such as weddings, debutant balls, formals and graduations.

The night before your event*, it is best to shampoo your hair three times and condition only the mid lengths and ends. Gently towel blot your hair without excessive rubbing. Apply a light conditioning serum to the mid lengths and ends and comb through. Apply a root lift spray or styling mousse (we recommend White Sands Spray, but also have other mousses and sprays suitable in store if White Sands is not available) from roots to ends and blow dry your hair smooth with a paddle brush, being sure to avoid drying any harsh partings and trying to soften any cowlicks. DO NOT curl or straighten your hair.

If you are unable to prepare your hair yourself, you are more than welcome to book in for a shampoo and blow-wave the day before your event and we can make sure your hair is prepared appropriately.

*We understand that some people's hair texture is best washed on the day, particularly people with fine, oil prone hair, in this case, please let us know and we can allow time to wash and blow-wave your hair before your hair-up.
